Hello All!
I wanted to send the weekly message 1 day early this week. It's not my usual message, but I just want everyone to celebrate Obon with our PBT virtual family today and tomorrow.
The Obon committee has been working really hard on providing the best virtual Obon experience during this Covid-19 epidemic. Please take a look at the temple website for all the different
programs and events that have been planned. How fun it will be to participate in the virtual Obon dancing, watch cultural events like a tea ceremony, martial arts, and even a live Taiko performance.
And then on Sunday, attend (virtually) the Obon Service. Although we won't be there in person, I am looking forward to listening to the Dharma message and chanting.
I hope everyone will be able to experience at least a small portion of what is offered. It's so important to stay connected to the temple and the Dharma. If you get a chance, take a look at the cute/fun video that Lorie
put together. It's on Facebook. Great job Lorie.
Hope to see you at the Virtual Obon Odori at 6:30p.
Lynne
